For the redesign of SunshineHome.gr, our objective was to keep the already existing platform (opencart) without interfering in the operational part. So, we redesigned a fresh theme and proceeded with radical changes in the frontend, as we noticed that in the former one, there was an inconsistency in fonts, colours and layouts which didn’t support the notion of a single identity. We came up with a modern layout and used a single font throughout the site, with different weights. This way, we made the website more visually interesting and consistent. We gave a different colour to each category in the header, but maintained the part of the menus white and “clean”. We added optimistic phrases against backgrounds with different fabric textures, with sunshine being the keyword; phrases that make us feel good, just like life at home does. Finally, we added more banners to indicate the distinct product categories and made it clear that the products are addressed not only to individual customers, but also to professionals in the hospitality sector.
